Why Tribal’s California Sports Betting Initiative Is No Longer Mobile
California Sports betting is on the voting slip 2022.
On Thursday, the California Secretary of State announced that a petition for a sports betting voting question has been granted. The election would allow tribes in the state to play roulette, dice games, and sports betting in California in tribal areas. Expanding the game to tribal land also requires a modified treaty with the state.
The Coalition to Approve Regulated Sports Betting submitted 1.4 Million Signatures in October 2020, verified with more than 1 million. The petition needed 997.139 verified signatures. Successful attempt comes after COVID-19 Pandemic severely hampered early efforts before the tribes were granted an extension.
Sports betting initiative in California
