Located in the up-and-coming education zone with state-of-the-art infrastructure, Symbiosis Law School in Hyderabad (SLS-H) is a vibrant legal institute founded in 2014 and the great novelty, dynamism and excellent education of Symbiosis International (regarded as a university)
The Literary and Debate Society was created to give students the opportunity to free their minds and serve as a platform to express their opinions and hone their oratory skills. It actively seeks to provide students with a substantial and unconstrained foundation from which to explore the world beyond textbooks, where freedom of speech, disagreement, and discussion on major social issues are critical to change and the well-being of society.
The Literature and Debate Society of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, is pleased to announce the National Model United Nations of Symbiosis Law School, 2021 (SLSH-MUN 2021) March 20, 2021 to March 21, 2021. This event is a simulation of the United Nations and will be the culmination of debate, global cooperation and diplomacy. This two-day event offers students the opportunity to demonstrate their public speaking and diplomatic skills, and participate in solving global problems by representing different countries around the world. Numerous delegates from institutions across the country and an ace board will attend this MUN. This becomes an event that pushes the boundaries of debate and promises to be an unforgettable experience. The SLS-H MUN will follow suit UNA-USA procedure which can be found here. The event will be held online via the video conference platform Zooming.
DELEGATE REGISTRATION PROCESS
Interested participants are asked to fill out the online registration form using the link below. Participants must indicate their committee preferences and previous experience using the form. All registrations must be completed by 13March 2021.
Admission criterion: Participants aged 13 and over are eligible.
Registration fee: £ 200 per participant

The final decision on the allocation of lands is at the discretion of the Literary and Debate Society.
AWARDS AND CERTIFICATES
The delegates will compete for the following awards:
1. Best delegate award – £ 2,000 + certificate of earnings + gifts (if any)
2. High commendation – £ 1,000 + certificate of earnings + gifts (if any)
3. Best delegation – £ 4,000 + Certificate of Earnings + gifts (if any)
4th Special mention – Award for special merits
All participants receive certificates of attendance.

1. UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL

The Security Council is one of the six main organs of the United Nations and is responsible for maintaining global peace and security by ensuring continuous cooperation between countries. It is considered to be one of the most powerful bodies in the United Nations and offers participants the opportunity to participate in some of the most important decisions in the world.
AGENDA: Review of the current legal framework for the use of peacekeeping operations
2. UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION
president: Sofia Dash
The main aim and mission of the Human Rights Commission is to protect the human rights of people around the world. They work to help women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, minority rights and other people around the world. This committee will help delegates discuss transnational violations and how best to resolve them and make the world a better place!
AGENDA:: Advising on the shortcomings of the IHL and the ICRC in safeguarding the rights of civilians and prisoners of war (prisoners of war) during war crimes.
3. MEET ALL POLITICAL PARTIES IN INDIA
Moderator: Rahul Menon
The All-India Political Party Meet provides a platform for different political perspectives from different parties to come together and indulge in a healthy, unreserved debate and discussion that affects the nation. The delegates mimic and represent the political parties assigned to them as they seek to resolve the issue at hand.
AGENDA:: Reassessing the presence of various stakeholders in India and assessing the impact on elections.
4. CRISIS COMMITTEE

The Showcase Committee of the MUN!
Crisis committees offer more freedom than conventional ones and are full of rapid action. They allow you to think on your feet and work together when new board guidelines force you to adapt. Delegates can deal with and resolve new crises, making this committee one of the most anticipated and anticipated.
