Bombay HC – Priyanka Singh solely appearances – LexForti Authorized Information & Journal

The Bombay Supreme Court found a prima facie case against Priyanka Singh, sister of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, and overturned the lawsuit against Meetu Singh.

The FIR was filed on the instigation of Rhea Chakraborty for criminal conspiracy and suicide aid of the deceased actor.

The court ordered that there should be no obstacle during the investigation into Priyanka Singh.

Aside from the Singh sisters, the FIR was also used against Dr. Tarun Kumar of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, who gave the prescription for medicines Priyanka Singh had procured for the late actor.

The allegations were made in accordance with relevant provisions of the Indian Criminal Code and the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). The case was later referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is already dealing with the late actor’s suicide secret.

However, the lawyer on behalf of the sister pointed to inconsistencies in the complaint and the applicant’s statements.

They also cited that no evidence from the relevant authorities was brought against the doctor.

CBI, however, replied to HC that two FIRs against a matter have no place in the eyes of the law. Calling it “total disregard for the law”, they said they were already investigating the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

They also alleged that Mumbai police are being maliciously pursued. Mumbai police defended their decision to register the FIR, stating that they are neither against the same defendant nor involve the same conspiracy. Also that the FIRs did not violate the rights of the sisters and that they were immediately transferred to the CBI.
